Charles Hamilton

Cleveland-born, Harlem-based producer and rapper Charles Hamilton was touted through the past due 2000s as an up-and-coming artist with an eclectic sensibility and amazing freestyle rhymes. He previously honed his abilities in the studio room of his Harlem senior high school and perfected the tried-and-true hip-hop practice of sampling by channeling his assorted tastes to produce his sound. In 2008, Hamilton authorized to Interscope and produced a deafening on-line hype through what he dubbed “The Hamiltonization Procedure.” Around twelve mixtapes had been released during 2008. One of these was The Red Lavalamp, that was intended to become Hamilton’s correct debut record for Interscope. While programs were designed for a genuine Interscope debut, This Ideal Life, the record was shelved and finally issued as a free of charge digital download following the label slipped Hamilton, who captured flak for erroneously crediting J Dilla as his professional manufacturer. Despite setbacks, Hamilton stayed extremely prolific with mixtape produces through 2014. In early 2015, he agreed upon with Republic and released “NY Raining,” offering Rita Ora, as his first one for the label. He and Ora had been shown executing the melody in the growing season one finale of Empire, and his debut record was ready for release afterwards that year.
