Charles Adams Prince

Charles Adams Prince was one particular rare performers, a versatile, chameleonic performer whose skills and achievements haven’t been adequately appreciated. He was among the 1st music artists to record (1891), the first ever to record a Classical orchestral function for Columbia Information (1917), and his music group was the first ever to record a jazz piece, W.C. Handy’s St. Louis Blues (1915). Prince was a composer — eventually of small significance — a pianist, organist, and conductor. He also kept many musical administrative articles and was one particular apparently ubiquitous performers whose actions spilled over into many styles of music. Prince produced several recordings in the 78 RPM period, a lot of whose unique problems are of great of worth to enthusiasts today.
