Chappaquiddick Skyline was the medial side task of singer/songwriter Joe Pernice, previously most widely known for fronting the alt-country music group Scud Mountain Kids in addition to its chamber-pop forerunner the Pernice Brothers. While making his master’s level in creative composing and poetry from your University or college of Massachusetts, Pernice co-founded the Northampton-based Scuds in 1991, making great essential acclaim for the heartbreaking lyrics and beautiful melodies which recognized albums like 1996’s Massachusetts; wanting to move beyond the band’s rustic minimalism, he created the Pernice Brothers with sibling Bob to expand into lushly-orchestrated pop, issuing 1998’s Overcome by Happiness to help expand essential fanfare.
