Following a end of Burning up Airlines, it appeared that Washington, D.C., picture stalwart and previous Jawbox vocalist/guitarist J. Robbins experienced decided to concentrate his energies into as an engineer and maker for other performers, but even while Robbins was focusing on fresh tunes of his personal — everything that was needed had been visitors to play with. The ensuing band, Stations, would first start to see the light of time in 2003 and would discharge their debut EP, Open up, on DeSoto Information. A three-piece comprised of Robbins on electric guitar and vocals, previous Oswego and Kerosene 454 member Darren Zentek on drums, and Robbins’ wife — and previous Shonben member — Janet Morgan on bass and vocals, Stations would discharge their initial full-length, Looking forward to another End of the Globe, on seminal D.C. label Dischord in August 2006.
