Chang Loo

Chang Loo was among the preeminent divas of Shanghai within the 1930s, once the town was a hotspot for jazz before the Japan job of China. In 2003 her music experienced a revival of reputation when a handful of her music (“All of the Superstars in the Sky,” “The Plough Melody”) had been remixed by Ian Widgery and highlighted over the compilation record THE INITIAL Shanghai Divas. The record proved so well-known that an prolonged re-release, Shanghai Lounge Divas (2004), was put together, featuring the initial versions as well as the remixes.
