Century Palm

Century Hand is a Canadian indie rock-band whose brooding, dance-friendly synth pop owes a personal debt to post-punks Pleasure Division and Cable, as well while new wave clothes such as for example Devo. The group shaped in Toronto around Andrew Payne (acoustic guitar, synthesizer, tone of voice), Paul Lawton (bass, synthesizer, tone of voice), and Jesse Locke (drums, drum machine), all previous and current people or sidemen for several regional indie works. They released a self-titled EP in 2014 that also got Alex Hamlyn on acoustic guitar and Sarah Ford on synths. A live break up tape with Experience Alright, East Coastline Tour adopted in Sept 2016 and captured an August display in Halifax. Offering the lineup of Payne, Lawton, Locke, and Cent Clark (synthesizer, tone of voice), the band’s full-length debut, Meet up with You, came on Deranged Information in March of 2017.
