Central Line

The London group Central Line were one of the better English soul ensembles of the first ’80s. Vocalist/percussionist Linton Breckles, bassist/vocalist Camelle Hinds, keyboardist Lipson Francis, and guitarist Henry Defoe experienced several moderately successful produces on Mercury, making use of their biggest American strike, “Strolling Into Sunlight,” in 1981. It produced the R&B Best 20, peaking at 14.
