Cemetary

After bowing in 1992 using the straightforward death steel album An Evil Tone of Gray, the Swedish band Cemetary began trying out the genre on 1993’s Goddess Beauty, incorporating both ’70s rock and roll and goth rock and roll in to the mix. Before saving 1994’s Dark Vanity, vocalist and guitarist Mathias Lodmalm dismissed all of those other band, opting to create the album by himself; the result pressed Cemetary further in to the gothic world. The transformation right into a gothic steel band was filled with the 1996 discharge of Sundown, which highlighted the brand new lineup of Lodmalm, Anders Iwers on electric guitar, Thomas Josefsson on bass, and Markus Nordberg behind the drums. Last Sundown implemented in 1997.
