Cecil Bridgewater

A fantastic hard bop trumpeter, Cecil Bridgewater has been the longtime trumpeter using the Max Roach Quartet. After learning music in the University or college of Illinois, he teamed up with tenorman Ron Bridgewater within the Bridgewater Brothers Music group (1969). He was wedded to vocalist Dee Dee Garrett (aka Dee Dee Bridgewater) for area of the 1970s. In 1970, the trumpeter was with Horace Metallic, and he caused the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis orchestra (1970-1976). Cecil Bridgewater began playing with Maximum Roach in the first ’70s, and was an integral section of his organizations since. He documented his very long overdue debut like a leader on the Bluemoon disk in 1993.
