CC Dust

Created in Olympia, Washington by vocalist/artist/dancer Mary Jane Dunphe (from the energetic punk group Vexx) and bassist/producer David Jacques, CC Dust combine the danceable punk energy of DFA Documents artists, the swooping drama of vintage 4AD rings, and a lot of melodic Fresh Order-style basslines. Topped off using the occasionally growling, occasionally angelic vocals of Dunphe, the duo includes a audio that’s strongly grounded before, but given today’s recasting. They made an appearance around the It Gets Weirder: A Compilation of Olympia Punk in 2015 cassette using the track “Abra,” after that released their debut solitary, “Shinkansen No. 1″/”New Methods,” on Secret?Golf club in August of 2016. They adopted that up with a self-titled five-song EP co-released per month later on by Perennial in the U.S. and Night time College in the U.K.
