Cathy Carr

Cathy Carr arrived from the Bronx, NY, and scored popular with her rendition from the tune “Ivory Tower.” She attempted to do it again her success using a cover of Phil Spector’s “TO LEARN Him Would be to Appreciate Him” on Roulette in 1958. Her edition failed to graph, nevertheless, and was generally overlooked and only the Teddy Bears’ first. In 1959, Roulette released Carr’s just LP for the label, Timid, which highlighted the tracks “I’m Nobody’s Baby” and “Therefore Near yet UP TO NOW.” Carr’s one “THE BEST Song” later resulted in on the Laurie Information’ compilation, The Golden Women Sing Their Golden Hits from the 1950s and 1960s, Vol. 2.
