Originally called the Jubilee Kings, this vocal quartet was formed in Great Point, NEW YORK, USA, soon after the finish of World Battle II being a gospel quartet. Brothers Frank and Willie McWilliams teamed with cousins L.D. and Chester Mayfield to sing in regional churches. After a spell as paratroopers in the Korean battle, they came back in 1954 and transformed tempo to R&B, documenting demos that gained them a program with Apollo Information in November. ‘That’s All’ was their debut discharge in Apr 1955, followed 8 weeks afterwards by ‘Hush-A-Meca’.
