Casonovas

Originally called the Jubilee Kings, this vocal quartet was formed in Great Point, NEW YORK, USA, soon after the finish of World Battle II being a gospel quartet. Brothers Frank and Willie McWilliams teamed with cousins L.D. and Chester Mayfield to sing in regional churches. After a spell as paratroopers in the Korean battle, they came back in 1954 and transformed tempo to R&B, documenting demos that gained them a program with Apollo Information in November. ‘That’s All’ was their debut discharge in Apr 1955, followed 8 weeks afterwards by ‘Hush-A-Meca’. Of even more curiosity was their third discharge, ‘I Don’t Wish You To Move’. This melody’s melody (compiled by Chester Mayfield) was afterwards reprised by Lowman Pauling for his ‘Dedicated To THE MAIN ONE I Appreciate’, which became a high 3 Billboard strike double over when afterwards included in the Shirelles in 1961 as well as the Mamas AS WELL AS THE Papas in 1967. After one additional ballad by the end of 1955, ‘My Baby’s Like’, the group retired to the neighborhood club picture for another 2 yrs. ‘Please End up being Mine’ was ultimately released in November 1957, where stage the group’s fortunes had been in terminal drop. ‘You Are My Queen’ became their last release a calendar year afterwards.
