Cash Money

The Chicago punk-blues duo Cash Cash was formed in 1994 by singer/guitarist John Humphrey, an alumnus of God and Texas. After founding the jazz-rock device Later Great Danes, Humphrey enlisted previous Rosehip Scott Giampino to try out drums; once the Later Great Danes continued keep, Humphrey and Giampino continuing performing jointly as Cash Cash. After a one for the small Tug-O-War label, the duo agreed upon with Contact and Move, and moved into Chicago’s Idful Music studios; made by Red Red Meats drummer Brian Deck, Money Money’s full-length debut Dark Hearts and Damaged Wills surfaced in early 1997.
