Carolyn Leigh

One of the biggest female songwriters from the golden period of popular melody, Carolyn Leigh wrote several uptown criteria, including “Witchcraft,” “Teen in mind,” “THE VERY BEST Is Yet to Come,” “Firefly,” “Hey, Appear Me More than!,” “Move Me By,” and “It Amazes Me.” Blessed in 1926, Leigh was composing lyrics for the Broadway musical Peter Skillet by 1954. She also done Wildcat (1960) and Small Me (1962). The majority of her best music were created with Cy Coleman, though she also composed with Jule Styne, Harold Arlen, Marvin Hamlisch, and Johnny Richards. She passed away in 1983.
