Solo experimental digital pop artist Caroline Lufkin sings sensitive vocal melodies more than glitched IDM is better than and dreamy, understated sound bedrooms. Blessed in Okinawa, Japan, she was motivated to write music by her old sister, Olivia, who acquired produced a name for herself being a J-pop vocalist. In 2003, Caroline graduated in the Berklee College of Music in Boston and transferred to LA to pursue music being a full-time profession. In 2006, Brief Residence Small released her debut, Murmurs, an record of digital ambient pop ballads constructed from the bottom up using pianos, guitars, harps, bells, guitars, and strings.
