Carol Welsman

Although Carol Welsman has relocated to the LA area, she actually is most widely known in her indigenous Canada. While regularly identified with easy jazz, she’s also recorded classic standards and may golf swing in straight-ahead jazz configurations, too. Her dad was a big jazz lover with a big record collection, presenting his child to jazz. Not merely did she listen to his information, but from age 12 she frequently followed him to concerts, creating a like for the performing of Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, and Mel Tormé. Welsman performed guitar from age ten, associated her performing of bossa novas and folk music. She started to perform jazz even more in her past due teens. Welsman went to the Berklee University of Music during 1980-1981 and analyzed tone of voice in France with Christiane Legrand. She began the Welcar Music label in Toronto, documenting her debut Compact disc, Lucky to become Me, in 1995. She performed throughout Canada and in addition worked like a jazz vocal teacher at the University or college of Toronto.
