Carol Deene

b. 1944, Thurnscoe, Yorkshire, Britain. The daughter of the performing miner, the clean-cut pop vocalist shifted to London at age 16, and, after showing up for the Joan Regan tv program in 1961, was purchased by HMV. Deene got four UK Best 50 entries within a 12-month period, all with cover variations, but none produced the very best 20. The tracks were ‘Sad Films (Make Me Cry)’ as well as the annoying ‘Norman’ (that have been both John D. Loudermilk tracks that were US hits for Sue Thompson), ‘Johnny Obtain Furious’ (a US strike for Joanie Sommers) and ‘Some People’, that was originally performed by UK work Valerie Mountain AS WELL AS THE Eagles in the film from the same name. In 1962 she got her very own series being a disk jockey on Radio Luxembourg and was observed in the Acker Bilk film Music group Of Thieves. She afterwards got unsuccessful produces on Columbia Information in 1966, CBS Information in 1968, Conquest in 1969, Pye Information in 1970; and reappeared in the past due 70s for the Koala and Rim brands.
