Carol Deene

b. 1944, Thurnscoe, Yorkshire, Britain. The daughter of the performing miner, the clean-cut pop vocalist shifted to London at age 16, and, after showing up for the Joan Regan tv program in 1961, was purchased by HMV. Deene got four UK Best 50 entries within a 12-month period, all with cover variations, but none produced the very best 20. The tracks were ‘Sad Films (Make Me Cry)’ as well as the annoying ‘Norman’ (that have been both John D. Loudermilk tracks that were US hits for Sue Thompson), ‘Johnny Obtain Furious’ (a US strike for Joanie Sommers) and ‘Some People’, that was originally performed by UK work Valerie Mountain AS WELL AS THE Eagles in the film from the same name.
