Carmen Linares

Carmen Linares is among the world’s greatest flamenco performers. A master from the “jondo” design of performing, Linares has established her vocals towards the classical-oriented accompaniment of symphonic and chamber orchestras for pretty much 2 decades. Linares was the initial flamenco singer to execute with the brand new York Philharmonic Orchestra. Linares continues to be equally forceful executing with the traditional flamenco accompaniment of exclusive acoustic guitar. AS THE New York Moments praised her on her behalf “incredible and expressive power,” Un Mundo stated “she possesses three very helpful virtues: power of conversation, purity without purism, and all-around competence.” Linares continues to be honored with many awards, like the Award Icaro from the Music as well as the Award of the Lifestyle Ministry in 1988, the French Academy Award in 1992, as well as the Sterling silver Medal from the Junta de Andalucia in 1997.
