Carlos Poyares

Perhaps one of the most important living performers in the choro genre, Carlos Poyares offers recorded over 9 single albums and participated in countless others like a sideman. As an acting professional and flutist, Poyares worked well in nine movies. As an associate of the 3rd generation of a family group of music artists, Poyares discovered the rudiments of flute along with his mom, a concerto participant. At five, he was presented with a tin flute. 3 years later on, he ran abroad to function in a circus, where he worked well like a trapeze designer and several additional jobs. Departing the circus, Poyares worked well like a flutist for the Rádio Espírito Santo (Vitória). In 1953, Poyares relocated to Rio de Janeiro and worked well for several r / c.
