Carlo Ricciotti

Very little is well known approximately Ricciotti except that he was a gentleman, played the violin, taught Count Willem Bentinck and it is considered to have made up 6 concertos entitled “Concerti Armonica” for brief or “VI concerti armonici a quattro violini obligati, alto viola, violoncello obligato e basso continuo.” These functions were variously related to Handel, Count number von Erbach, Prince von Buckeburg and Pergolesi. Although Riciotti can’t be totally dismissed as the composer he can’t be securely set up as the composer either.
