Carlo Pallavicino

Pallavicino was an Italian author of opera who also served both towns of Venice and Dresden at exactly the same time although you can assured that Venice remained Carlo’s favourite. He offered as an organist in Padua but remaining that placement when his 1st opera was staged in Venice. He obtained 24 operas and only 1 was not created. “Vespasiano,” that was staged in Venice in 1678, was among Pallavicino’s most well-known operas. Characteristically his melodic lines had been refreshingly fresh and influenced and he used the usage of the da capo aria instead of writing mere tunes. Oratorios and sacred functions were also made up by Carlo who was simply a Kapellmeister in Dresden aswell as the movie director of music for the theater as well as for chamber works.
