Carla Whitney was an obscure spirit vocalist from Canada who trim one particular album, a self-titled affair, for the Attic label in 1975. It had been produced and organized by Choker Campbell, who’d once been the home bandleader at Motown; Campbell also co-wrote a lot of the materials, occasionally with Whitney herself. Through the Compact disc period, Carla Whitney was reissued within a two-fer which also included another Campbell creation, Albert Jones’ Specifics of Life!
