b. 1962, Kingston, Jamaica, Western world Indies. Being a schoolboy, Meeks emulated the performing styles of best Jamaican music artists, and, driven to pursue a profession in the documenting industry, he understood that he’d need to develop his very own original style. Within the middle-80s he auditioned with George Lemon who released his debut, ‘No Even more Secrets’, which resulted in some singles. He also caused other producers, like the prolific Hugh ‘Redman’ Adam. Adam was proving to become among Jamaica’s best producers, liberating smash strikes from Clement Irie, Thriller U and Meeks’ 1987 strikes, ‘Weh Dem Fah’, ‘Haul And Draw Up Selector’ and ‘Rude Young lady Sandra’. By 1988 Meeks performed alongside DJ Daddy Lilly for ‘Low fat On Me’, along with a basic tale of lost emotions, ‘Noticed About My Like’. Like a soloist, Meeks continuing to enjoy strikes using the conscientious ‘Risk’ and ‘Tuff Scout’.
