Carey Johnson

b. c.1951, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Johnson originally proved helpful at Coxsone Dodd’s Studio room One where he documented, ‘Scorcher’. The achievement of his debut resulted in the predictably entitled, ‘Even more Scorcher’, but also the edifying ‘Contact 1143’ as well as the eloquent ‘Connection Teach’. In the first 70s Johnson teamed up alongside Lloyd Little in the Groovers (greatest appreciated for the strike, ‘I Want TO RETURN House’). The mixture referred to as Carey And Lloyd embarked on periods with Joe Gibbs, which led to the discharge of, ‘Joshua Row Us House’ to get the past due Michael Manley’s politics campaign.
