Longtime Boston-area songwriter Geech Sorensen made a decision to form a music group in 1999 after spending a lot of the 10 years playing with university friend Keith Gendel (Papas Fritas.) Drafting in close friends like vocalist Miranda Inganni, drummer Eric Herman, and bassist Jeff Wright, Capital Town formed being a ramshackle indie rock and roll quartet that calendar year. By the next spring, NOT FAR FROM Music released Begin your Own Nation, an EP that highlighted duets between Inganni and Sorensen. The next year was proclaimed by live shows around the region, but by another spring the music group had a fresh select and was finding your way through their first complete length album. Some compilation performances and live gigs implemented, but Inganni still left the group before anything significant could possibly be recorded and participant Walter Blazewicz became a member of up by the end of the entire year. Am I Invisible, their debut record, finally found its way to June of 2002 to a keen indie response.
