Can’t Say

Shaped in Albany, NY in lat 1990, the ska-punk unit Can’t Claim comprised singer/guitarist Al von Schaaf, bassist Ian Cipkowski, tenor saxophonist Tony Bryan and alto saxophonist Justin Birk. Originally a metallic band, they quickly released a demonstration cassette, Anything, steadily turning increasingly more towards ska; after another demo, 1992’s Recording Savant, a yr later Can’t State released their self-titled debut LP. After 1995’s The Kings of Crunchska, the group toured relentlessly through the 3 years that approved before the launch of its follow-up, Accurate Grit.
