Candy Hearts

New Jersey-based Chocolate Hearts produce melodic, ’90s punk-pop-inspired rock music. A trio focused around vocalist/songwriter Mariel Loveland, Chocolate Hearts got were only available in 2009 while Loveland was participating in university in Upstate NY. The following calendar year, the group released its self-produced debut, Ripped Up Skinny jeans & Silly Dreams. The band’s sophomore record, Everything’s Amazing and Nobody’s Content, appeared on Similar to Information in 2011. For this period, Loveland captured the hearing of New Present Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert, who agreed upon her to his Violently Content Information, an imprint from the Boston indie label Bridge Nine. In 2014, Chocolate Hearts returned using the Gilbert-produced full-length All of the Ways You I WANT TO Down.
