Candiru

Among the many duos quick to join the industrial music bandwagon made temporarily ultra-hip in the first ’90s with the highly successful Ministry, Pat McCahan and Kipp Johnson formed Candiru in Harrisburg, PA. Nevertheless, unlike Ministry, Candiru (aptly called following a South American “vampire” catfish recognized to infiltrate and give food to off an unsuspecting host’s urethra!) substituted split guitar overkill to get more widespread usage of examples and programmed beats. The outcomes could be noticed over the band’s only record, Unloved and Weeded Out, that was released in 1993 by Relapse Information.
