Because the group’s name suggests, Camper Van Chadbourne was a collaboration between avant-garde musician Eugene Chadbourne and different users from Camper Van Beethoven. Bassist Victor Krummenacher and violinist/keyboardist/mandolin participant Jonathan Segel had been the most constant members from the project alongside Chadbourne, though Camper’s vocalist David Lowery added to early gigs and albums just like the 1987 self-titled debut. Camper Vehicle Chadbourne performed and documented sporadically with the past due ’80s and early ’90s prior to the primary trio reunited in 1999 for a few live dates in the Knitting Manufacturing plant. That season also saw the discharge of Used Record Pile, which gathered tracks in the group’s prior albums, and a live work, Revenge of Camper Truck Chadbourne.
