Bronx rap duo Camp Lo meld hip-hop with jazz sensibilities and funk. After having popular single, “Coolie Large,” from THE FANTASTIC White Buzz soundtrack in early 1996, Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede released their debut recording, Uptown Saturday Night time, in Feb 1997. It continued to hit the very best 30 from the Billboard 200 and the very best Five from the R&B/hip-hop graph. The recording was reissued 2 yrs down the road Arista Records, as well as the EP Brief Eyes adopted in 2001. The next 12 months brought their second recording, Let’s REPEAT. Skiing Beatz (David Willis), who experienced caused the duo on the previous records aswell, returned to create Dark Hollywood, which noticed launch in 2007. Camp Lo returned with two full-length albums for Spirit Fever in ’09 2009: Rock and Rob Captured on Tape found its way to Feb, with Another Heist pursuing that fall. They teamed up with Pete Rock and roll for the mixtapes 80 Blocks from Tiffany’s, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 in 2011, and their 6th proper studio room LP, 2015’s Ragtime Hightimes, premiered via Nature Seems. In early 2017, Camp Lo and Skiing Beatz gathered demos and previously unreleased tunes from the middle-’90s for Along the way Uptown, released by Persia Information.
