Camerata Pacifica

Located in California, Camerata Pacifica can be an American chamber ensemble founded in 1990 by artistic director and flutist Adrian Spence. Composed of music artists drawn from all over the world, the group has a once a month concert series in the metropolitan areas of Santa Barbara, Ventura, Pasadena, and LA. Their innovative methods to building rapport using their viewers have got fostered a community of music fans that welcomes a broad and complicated repertoire, which expands from Baroque masterpieces to modern works. Spence continues to be instrumental in commissioning songs, including functions by Lera Auerbach, Jake Heggie, Ian Wilson, Huang Ruo, Shiny Sheng, John Psathas, and Adam MacMillan. In 2014, Camerata Pacifica released its initial record of chamber functions by John Harbison on Harmonia Mundi.
