Callisto

Influenced by rings like Neurosis, Breach, Isis, and Zao, Finland’s Callisto weave religious imagery to their atmospheric make of steel. The band produced due to a good friendship between your original four associates, drummer Ariel Björklund, guitarist Johannes Nygård, bassist Juho Niemelä, and vocalist Markus Myllykangas. The “Dying Desire” one proclaimed their debut in 2001, while 2003’s Ordeal from the Hundred years EP started their romantic relationship with Finland’s Fullsteam label. The label released the band’s full-length debut, Accurate Character Unfolds, in 2004 and it shortly became a preferred of Johannes Persson, the guitarist from Cult of Luna. Through Persson, the music group was introduced towards the Earache label, which quickly agreed upon Callisto. The label re-released Accurate Nature Unfolds, offering the band world-wide exposure in-may of 2005.
