California was founded by years as a child close friends John Gregory (on vocals and tempo acoustic guitar) and Utmost M. (on drums) in 1996 in LA. The roots rock-band, which also contains guitarist Steve Norton and bassist Joe Lester, prides itself on its back-to-the-basics rock and roll & move and what it phone calls its “uncompromising American soul.” John Gregory’s vocals possess suggestions of Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and John Mellencamp while guitarist Steve Norton reminds among the Metallic Bullet Band.
