If you’re likely to release a West Coast punk supergroup, what better name to use than California? That certainly appears to be the considering behind this fast, noisy, and hooky pop-punk trio offering members of a number of the Golden State’s greatest punk clothes. California is usually fronted by guitarist and vocalist Jason White colored, who is a touring guitarist with Green Day time since 1999, and became a complete person in the music group in 2012. Light has also used Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong in his aspect tasks Pinhead Gunpowder, Foxboro Scorching Tubs, as well as the Network. Signing up for Light in California are drummer Adam Pfahler, most widely known for his use the music group Jawbreaker, and bassist and vocalist Dustin Clark from the Insides. California started playing out in 2014, and in 2015 the trio released a limited-edition one — “Same Fishing boat” b/w “Poor Directions” — which quickly sold-out. Another 7″, “Hate the Pilot” b/w “Cut & Paste,” premiered in a particular model of 250 copies for Record Shop Time 2015, and just like the initial one, it quickly went through its printing run. California came back to the studio room to total their self-titled debut recording, that was slated for launch in Apr 2016.
