Cake Like

THE BRAND NEW York Town art-pop trio Cake Like was led by singer/bassist Kerri Kenney, also a gifted comedienne featured within the cable series THEIR STATE and Viva Range. Kenney founded the group in early 1993 with guitarist Nina Hellman, a fellow pupil at NY University’s Experimental Movie theater Wing; neither understood how exactly to play her particular instrument during Cake Like’s development, but with the next addition of drummer Jody Seifert, the group even so documented its debut record Delicious even prior to the season was out. Issued in 1995 on John Zorn’s Avant label, the disk was a crucial preferred, and upon putting your signature on to Vapor Information, the trio resurfaced in 1997 with Bruiser Queen. Goodbye, JUST WHAT EXACTLY followed 2 yrs later.
