Cairo

Cairo was formed in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA, in the first ’90s by Tag Robertson (keyboards, vocals), Alec Fuhrman (guitars, vocals), Jeff Brockman (drums, percussion), Rob Fordyce (bass), and Bret Douglas (business lead vocals). The group self-produced their eponymous debut at their house studio, launching it in 1994 over the Magna Carta label. The record showed much ELP-influenced key pad sound and high-pitched vocals that bore commonalities to Yes’s frontman, Jon Anderson. The music group spent 2 yrs focusing on their sophomore work, Issue and Dreams, where time Fordyce still left the group. The music group didn’t replace him, but caused bassist Jamie Browne in documenting the record, that was released in 1998. Even though sound from the record had not been vastly unique of their debut, it do show an elevated complexity in audio and creation. In 2000, Fuhrman still left the music group, but the music group performed on and released Period of Legends in June 2001. Cairo in addition has performed materials on different Magna Carta prog rock and roll tribute albums.
