C Duncan

Christopher Duncan, who performs while C Duncan, is a Scottish composer and multi-instrumentalist whose classical music upbringing seeps into his sophisticated, billowy indie pop masterpieces. Elevated in Glasgow by two traditional musicians, Duncan analyzed piano and viola before taking on acoustic guitar, bass, and drums in his teenagers, eventually learning music composition in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Assembling his tunes one instrument at the same time in a house studio, he posted a demonstration to FatCat Information, who agreed upon the youthful craftsman in 2013. His initial one, “For,” premiered late the next season, and his artful debut record, Architect, found its way to the summertime of 2015 and was nominated for the Mercury Award. In August 2016 Duncan released a fresh one, the dreamy, electronics-heavy “Wished to Want It As well,” in expectation of his sophomore long-player, Midnight Sunlight, which slipped in October of this year.
