Byron Lee & the Dragonaires

b. 27 June 1935, Jamaica, Western world Indies. Lee and his supervisor, Ronnie Nasralla, initial come up with the Dragonaires in 1956 and proved helpful being a support action for touring performers including Harry Belafonte, and their debut one ‘Dumplins’ in 1960 was the initial release in the UK’s Blue Defeat Records (though it originally arrived by himself Dragons Breathing label in Jamaica). The 14-piece Dragonaires highlighted an ever fluctuating line-up and so are often cited as you of Jamaica’s initial ska rings, although these were tightly an ‘establishment’ music group and their achievement was largely because of Lee’s business and politics cable connections. They toured thoroughly in the Western world Indies, THE UNITED STATES and Canada and do very much to popularize the ska audio. In 1969, Lee bought out the outdated WIRL set-up and set up Dynamic Sounds because the greatest equipped & most well-known studio within the Caribbean. In addition to supporting home-grown skill, visiting stars like the Moving Rocks, Eric Clapton and Paul Simon documented at Dynamic longing for a bit of the reggae actions. Lee still information occasionally but specializes in the soca design these days.
