Buscabulla

An experimental duo whose music is a witty however sensual fusion of funk, pop, R&B, Latin, and digital influences, Buscabulla were shaped by Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle, a set of Puerto Rican émigrés surviving in Brooklyn, NY. The two 1st fulfilled in 2011, when Del Valle went to a house display where Berrios’ insouciant acoustic duo En Teta had been on the expenses. Berrios and Del Valle quickly strike it off, and became romantically included. Both were of the creative bent — she was a developer, songwriter, DJ, and music maker, while he was a multi-instrumentalist — and in a short time they began focusing on music collectively. They used the group name Buscabulla, a Puerto Rican term indicating “Troublemaker,” and had been soon searching for outlets for his or her music. After earning a competition sponsored by Acoustic guitar Center and trainer producer Converse, Buscabulla had been awarded studio period and the solutions of maker Dev Hynes, which resulted in their debut EP. The self-titled four-song launch was released by Kitsuné Music in 2014, and gained positive reviews. Among the songs from your EP, “Métele,” was found in the award-winning film film Mala Mala, a documentary about Puerto Rico’s transgender community. Maker Roberto Carlos Lange became a lover of Buscabulla, and asked the duo to open up a tour for his Helado Negro task. Lange continued showing his support by showing up on Buscabulla’s second EP, fittingly entitled EP II, adding vocals for the tune “Frio.” EP II once more earned enthusiastic testimonials, as do Buscabulla’s video for “Tártaro,” shot within a rundown like motel in Puerto Rico.
