New Jersey’s Burnt by sunlight was shaped in November 1999 by ex-Human Remains drummer David Witte and guitarist John Adubato. Vocalist Michael Olender and bassist Ted Patterson became a member of soon after, along with a self-titled EP brought these to the eye of metal-specialized Relapse Information. Impressed by the band’s inventive, frequently humorous undertake post-hardcore extreme steel, Relapse quickly agreed upon the music group and their full-length debut, Soundtrack to the non-public Revolution (also offering second guitarist Chris Rascio), premiered in early 2002.
