Bunnydrums

Born away from two fairly prominent rings in Philadelphia’s past due-’70s punk scene (the Boneheads as well as the Autistics), Bunnydrums would produce a name for themselves for a short while being a sci-fi/angular/psychedelic/punk group that would start for such big brands as Pere Ubu, R.E.M., and Gang of Four. David Goerk (vocals), Frank Marr (guitars), Greg Davis (bass), and drummer Joe Ankenbrand initial performed in 1980 along with a calendar year afterwards released their initial EP, Feathers Internet, under their very own power. They might eventually indication with Red Information, who would discharge their full-length debut (a combined mix of their initial EP and further monitors), PKD, in 1983. Not really hell-bent on touring, Bunnydrums concentrated their energies on the home picture and advancement of a Philly-based culture of music artists and artists known as the Funk Dungeon. Their following full-length, Holy Moly, was followed with touring, provided pressure in the record firm, but internal strife was making. After an aborted Western european tour and member adjustments, the band divide in 1986, and then appear once again at benefit displays. In 2003, the music group once noticed the light of time once again — albeit in reissue structure — when Metropolis Information released the collection PKD/Simulacra.
