Buddy Morrow

Throughout his career, Buddy Morrow loved using big bands and doing what he could to maintain nostalgic swing alive. He started playing trombone when he was 12 and within 2 yrs was operating locally. Morrow created quickly and relocated to NY, where he analyzed in the Institute of Musical Artwork. He produced his documenting debut in 1936 with vocalist Amanda Randolph and trumpeter Sharkey Bonano. Morrow — referred to as Moe Zudekoff until he transformed his name in the first 1940s — held busy through the golf swing era, dealing with Artie Shaw (1936-37 and 1940), Bunny Berigan, Frank Froeba, Eddie Duchin, Tommy Dorsey (1938), Paul Whiteman (1939-40) and Bob Crosby.
