Buddy Delaney

Buddy Delaney joined up with the fine, middle-’60s, Memphis garage area music group the Guilloteens in bass because of their final 3 singles, composing the A-side of their third one, “I actually Sit and Cry.” Sometime in the past due 1960s, following the Guilloteens split up, he shaped an organization in Florida, Pal Delaney & the Candy Soupe, which produced a weird uncommon one, “Female.” Weird since it was in fact a slight, less reworking from the B-side from the initial Guilloteens one, “Hey You,” that was documented and released before Delaney became a member of that music group. The B-side may be the Guilloteens’ “I REALLY LIKE That Female,” which have been released being a Guilloteens’ one on Columbia in 1967. For completist’s sake, “Female” was included on the Guilloteens compilation For MY VERY OWN (which includes both edges of their five singles) being a bonus track.
