Buddy Clark

Bassist and arranger Friend Clark began taking part in bass in senior high school, after previous learning piano and trombone. He analyzed in the Chicago Musical University in the past due ’40s, then caused Bud Freeman and Expenses Russo. He toured in the ’50s with Tex Beneke and Les Dark brown, then resolved in Los Perspectives. He used Pegge Lee, Crimson Norvo, Dave Pell and Jimmy Giuffre. Through the ’60s, he worked well as a studio room musician, while using such jazz rings as Gerry Mulligan’s. He was area of the unique Supersax band, operating straight with Med Flory in transcribing Charlie Parker solos in the first ’70s for any sax section. Clark performed and toured with Supersax until 1975, when he remaining and resumed his studio room career.
