Bud Green

Lyricist Bud Green was created in Austria in November 19, 1897; elevated primarily within the U.S., he have scored his first main strike in 1924 with “Alabamy Bound,” a cooperation with B.G. DeSylva and Ray Henderson. In 1928, Green started a hugely effective relationship with composer Sam Stept, inaugurated with Helen Kane’s strike “That’s My Weakness Right now.” Writing mainly for Hollywood within the years to check out, the duo produced an impressive group of well-known favorites, including “Like Is really a Dreamer,” “The Putting on from the Green,” “IF THEY Sang,” “THE ENTIRE WORLD Is usually Yours and Mine,” “There is a Tear for each and every Smile in Hollywood,” “For famous brands Me and you,” “Liza Lee,” “TAKE ACTION,” and “I’ll CONTINUALLY BE deeply in love with You.” Aside from Stept, Green combined with composer Michael Edwards for the 1937 strike “Occasionally,” teaming with Thin Gaillard and Slam Stewart the next 12 months for “Smooth Feet Floogee.” His biggest strike, however, continues to be “Sentimental Trip,” the 1944 regular authored with Ben Homer and bandleader Les Brownish. Green passed away in Yonkers, NY, on January 2, 1981.
