Buck initial got its begin in 1997, when vocalist Ted Fransson and drummer Richard Empty still left the punk music group that they had been dealing with. They recruited bassist Mikey Lennartsson and guitarist Jacob Albinson and started playing their lo-fi pop to viewers around Sweden. In 2001 they documented two albums, Your Guidebook to Better Lays and Hello Holland, although just the latter recording managed to get to America.
