Brownstone

Even and silky R&B group Brownstone shaped in LA in 1993 across the trio of Mimi, Nicci, and Maxee. Their debut one “Move the Lovin'” performed respectably in the R&B graphs, however the follow-up “IF YOU VALUE Me” became a huge hit, achieving the Top Ten from the pop graphs and pressing Brownstone’s first record, From underneath Up, into platinum place. Extra singles “Grapevyne” and “I CANNOT LET YOU KNOW Why” (an Eagles cover) also do well, though Mimi was compelled to keep the group in 1995 because of health issues; she was changed by Kina Cosper. Brownstone released their second record, Still Climbing, in June 1997.
