Bronze certainly are a San Francisco-based trio comprising drummer Brian Hock (C.L.A.W.S., the Vanishing), vocalist Robert Spector (Muscle tissue Drum), and digital artist Kilometers Friction, who takes on handmade digital oscillators furthermore to typical key pad synthesizers. The group’s hypnotic sound combines echo-covered stream-of-consciousness vocals with percolating consumer electronics and occupied, polyrhythmic drums, recalling early digital groups like Metallic Apples aswell as danceable post-punk rings such as Water Liquid. Bronze started after Hock came back to his house of SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA in 2006 after a stint in Berlin. Shifting to a D.We.Y. efficiency space known as the Cave, Hock and fellow resident Spector shaped Bronze along with Friction, who founded a home studio room known as Trojan Cavern where in fact the trio resided and documented music. Bronze produced their saving debut in ’09 2009 with two singles: “Edges” on Hobo Jungle and “One Night time in Mexico” on Dutch imprint Hex Grammofoonplaten. “The Rouge Became” adopted on CELEBRATED in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA this year 2010, as well as the trio’s full-length debut, Copper, made an appearance on New York-based Rvng Intl. in 2011. After spending another few years carrying on to develop their popularity as a thrilling, chaotic live action, the group’s second record, World Arena, appeared on Los Angeles-based Not really Not really Fun in 2014, and third full-length In Rock implemented on Spanish label Burka for everyone in 2015. Longtime enthusiast John Dwyer (Thee Oh Views, Damaged Insect) captured the group’s ferocious shows with an installment of his Castle Encounter label’s Reside in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA series in 2016.
