When superstar maker Dallas Austin brought identical twins Brit and Alex Smith to superstar label professional Jimmy Iovine, he presented them mainly because his “fresh TLC.” Iovine decided and authorized Brit & Alex after hearing just two of their enthusiastic hip-hop-meets-pop songs. Previously, while within their teenagers, the twins had been the facial skin of John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde advertisement campaign, appearing popular periodicals, on billboards, and on tv commercials, among which featured girls performing. Austin uncovered them while these were in London, reducing demos with several songwriters and companies. Recording of the Interscope debut started in the summertime of 2007.
