Brij Bhushan Kabra

Your guitar is a recently available foreign introduction to the world of Hindustani music. Its most widely known exponent participant is normally Brijbhushan Kabra. Through the 1960s he was mixed up in producing of two significant albums by which he found a wide worldwide audience. The greater important of both was Contact from the Valley, a cooperation with santoor maestro Shivkumar Sharma and flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia. The next was Two Raga Moods on Electric guitar (Globe Pacific WPS 21452). Explaining him over the sleeve of Contact from the Valley in 1968, G.N. Joshi composed, “Brijbhushan Kabra comes from Jodhpur and had taken to electric guitar playing about a decade ago beneath the assistance of Ali Akbar Khan. His effectiveness and skill in making Indian traditional music on the Western instrument have obtained acclaimation from critics and listeners as well.” It had been the beginning of an extended and illustrious profession.
